Vegan Hospitality Wins ICRT Gold Award for Climate-Friendly Tourism
Vegan Hospitality has won Gold in the Adapting to Climate Change category of the 2026 ICRT Responsible Tourism Awards worldwide, presented by the International Centre for Responsible Tourism global.
We’re proud of this recognition and what it brings into focus: the role that food and the guest experience can play in building a more resilient hospitality industry.
In their judges’ citation, the panel recognized our work in “setting the industry’s first formal benchmarks for the vegan guest experience.” They also highlighted how plant-forward menus can help businesses save resources and strengthen food resilience as the climate changes.
This is meaningful for the hospitality industry because the menu is something guests experience every day. It is also a practical place for hospitality leaders to put their values into action, through the ingredients they purchase, the dishes they develop, and the welcome they offer.
Our work helps teams make those changes through consulting, training, and certification. That means creating satisfying plant-based dishes, equipping staff to serve vegan guests confidently, and establishing clear standards for the guest experience.
This award points toward a future in which plant-forward dining is part of how hospitality businesses plan for change and care for their guests. We want to help more teams turn that possibility into everyday practice.
Thank you to ICRT global, our consultant network, and the hospitality teams putting this work into action. This recognition belongs to the people making change happen, one property and one guest experience at a time.
